Brian leads the Irish based AIFM & UCITS Management Company operational team. Brian has been with the Bridge group since 2014. Before joining Bridge, Brian worked for Marathon Asset Management (London) managing the hedge fund operations team with responsibility for the oversight, control and development of Marathon’s alternative fund range and before this he worked with Citi Hedge Fund Services (previously BISYS Hedge Fund Services) where he managed a team responsible for the administration of a number of hedge fund and fund of hedge fund clients. He has previously chaired the Irish Funds Investment Risk Working Group and a member of the Irish Funds Asset Manager Steering group. Brian has represented the industry at EFAMA and ESMA events.

David Dillon established Bridge Consulting Limited in 2005. David is a solicitor having qualified in 1978. He is a graduate of University College Dublin Bachelor of law and has an MBA from Trinity College Dublin. David was a founding partner of Dillon Eustace Solicitors a foremost firm in financial services. David is a director of a number of Irish based investment and fund management companies. He has served as a member of a number of committees and sub-committees established by the Irish Law Society relating to commercial and financial services law. He is a former Chairman of the Investment Funds Committee (Committee I) of the International Bar Association, past Chairman of the government’s IFSC Funds Working group and a member of the IFSC’s Clearing Group. He was a member of the Certified Accountant Accounts Awards Committee. He is currently on the organising committee of the Globalisation of Investment Funds organised by the ICI and the IBA. He worked with the international law firm of Hamada and Matsumoto (now Mori Hamada and Matsumoto) in Tokyo during 1983/1984. Mr. Dillon speaks regularly at international fora. David is a member of the BFML Pricing and Operations Committee.

Hugh Grootenhuis has over 35 years’ experience of working in financial services, in a variety of roles. He worked for the Schroder banking group for eighteen years where he obtained a wide range of investment banking experience. He worked for Schroders in London, Tokyo and Singapore, and spent the majority of his time in the international equity capital markets group. Hugh joined Waverton Investment Management Limited (“Waverton”), previously called JO Hambro Investment Management Limited) in 1999 as a director of new business. While with Waverton, he was responsible for marketing Waverton’s private client business as well as structuring long only equity and hedge fund vehicles. In May 2007 he was appointed head of the funds business and joined the executive board. In June 2009 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer and acted in this capacity until July 2015. Hugh was appointed as a special advisor to S.W. Mitchell Capital LLP in January 2016 to assist with the development of its business, including governance and oversight. He is also a director of S.W. Mitchell Capital plc, Dublin UCITS. In 2017 he joined the Board of Charles Stanley Group PLC and Charles Stanley & Co. Hugh is also a partner in RM Caldecott & Partners, a private wealth management boutique.

Carol has over 10 years board and committee experience acting as an Executive and Non-Executive Director on a variety of Boards, including a not-for-profit organisation. Appointed Head of Office, Hermes Fund Managers Ireland Ltd (including European branches) in November 2018 until April 2021. Prior to joining Federated Hermes Investment Management, was the Chief Executive Officer for FIL Life Insurance (Ireland) Limited since March 2013 and Executive Director for FIL Fund Management (Ireland) Limited since January 2004. Before joining the Fidelity International Group in 2000, held a number of positions within Mees Pierson Fund Services (Dublin) Limited A director (PCF 1 and 2) for a number of companies within the Federated Hermes and Fidelity Group, including corporate entities and funds (UCITS and AIFs).

Patrick Robinson has over 20 years experience in the asset management and funds services industry. Patrick began working for the company in October 2009. Patrick has an in-depth knowledge of UCITS and AIFM requirements and has project managed a number of UCITS Management Company /AIFM authorisations in Ireland and has provided assistance on numerous fund structuring /product development projects. He has established the risk, compliance and operational infrastructures of a number of asset management firms. Patrick joined the company from RBS Fund Services (Ireland) Ltd., an independent UCITS management company where he set up and headed the operations team responsible for the supervision and oversight of a variety of managers and service providers contracted to funds managed by RBS FSI.

Kevin Bonner is an Irish resident with over 16 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has been the Compliance Officer for Bridge Fund Management Limited since its establishment in 2015. Since joining Bridge in September 2013, Kevin has acted as a Consultant and Designated Person (PCF-39) to a number of Irish domiciled self-managed UCITS funds, UCITS management companies and AIFMs. During his time with Bridge, Kevin has specialised in compliance, and has acted as the designated person with responsibility for the regulatory compliance management function.

Joyce Byron is an Irish resident with over 15 years’ experience working exclusively with the area of ML/TF compliance. Joyce heads up the MLRO services division and has been appointed MLRO to a number of Irish domiciled funds. She is responsible for all ML/TF compliance matters including policy and business risk assessments. Joyce has extensive experience in coordinating Central Bank of Ireland’s ML/TF thematic inspections.

Sean Brady is an Irish resident with over 10 years’ experience working in the financial services industry. Sean heads the Investor Services and Distribution Oversight functions of BFML and has active in putting in place Bridge distribution platform arrangements and assisting clients in getting linked into these platforms. Sean heads the team responsible for the daily oversight of the Investor services and transfer agency functions of the funds under BFML

Head of Fund Accounting Oversight

Michael Brosnan is an Irish resident with over 10 years of experience in working in the financial services industry. Michael is the Head of Fund Accounting Oversight within the Fund Accounting Oversight team within Bridge . Michael also participates in the BFML valuation committee responsible for overseeing the day-to-day valuation process adopted by the funds and implemented by the fund administrators. Michael also participates in numerous other BFML committees responsible for overseeing the day-to-day service delivery provided by the appointed delegates and escalating any operational events that have occurred. Prior to joining Bridge in 2021, Michael was a manager in Apex Fund Services where he had overall responsibility of reviewing and releasing valuations. Prior to this, Michael held several managerial positions with BNY Mellon and Sanlam Asset Management Ireland where Michael has gained extensive exposure to operations and procedures of appointed delegates. Michael holds a Degree in Business and Management from TU Dublin and also a Masters in Project Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Alasdair is an Irish resident, with over with 17 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry working as a financial services lawyer. He was admitted to practice as a solicitor in Scotland in 2004 and became a registered solicitor in Ireland in 2008. Following qualification, Alasdair joined Daiwa in Dublin which provided Trust Administration services as well as Fund Administration and Custodian Services. Which he followed with roles with Bank of New York Mellon, Fortis and State Street during which time he continued to develop his expertise in the provision of legal advice to Fund Administration and Management Businesses. From 2010 to 2016, Alasdair was based in the Cayman Islands and UK where he carried out a similar role working with a broad range of clients including asset managers, investment banks, insurance companies, wealth managers and institutional clients such as County Councils.

Mark is head of Business development for the AIFM & ManCo team in Dublin. His role is to assist asset managers who are establishing regulated funds in Ireland. He manages a number of client relationships and acts as a designated person to management companies (both UCITS and AIFMs) and self managed investment companies. Previous to MJ Hudson, Mark held senior client facing business development and relationship management roles with Royal Bank of Canada investor & treasury services (Ireland, Canada and UK). He worked for 9 years in financial software – global investment systems (Linedata) and MoneyMate (compliance solutions strategies), and also spent 7 years in life assurance and investments and 3 years in banking.

Anthony is an Irish Resident with over 20 years’ experience in the funds servicing and asset management industry. Anthony heads the product management team within Bridge which is the team responsible for the delivery of management company services to the Fund boards and is the key ‘client relationship’ management function. Anthony joined Bridge Consulting (Bridge) in April 2017 and is currently Head of the Designated Person and Operational Support teams. He acts as a Designated Person (PCF-39) and Head of Compliance (PCF-12) for a number of self-managed UCITS funds and Authorised Management Companies domiciled in Ireland and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland as well as providing governance support to a number of regulated Financial Service entities. Anthony manages a number of key client relationships globally with a wide range of exposure to complex fund structures and investment types.

Paul joined Bridge in March 2021 and is responsible for Investment Management Oversight for our ManCo clients. He monitors the investment strategies and policies of delegate funds through engagement with the investment decision makers Paul is an Irish resident with over 30 years in investment management. Paul spent almost 20 years with Pioneer Investments (now Amundi) in Dublin where he was a Senior Portfolio Manager and latterly Head of European Equity Research. He was part of the investment leadership team with responsibility for equity funds with AUM of over €30bn. Paul also gained significant Portfolio Management experience managing Global Equity and Fixed Income mandates for 10 years with Bank of Ireland Asset Management in Dublin. Paul started his investment career as an Equity Fund Manager in London Paul is a member of the BFML Investment, Risk and Compliance, Valuation and Sustainable Investing Oversight Committees.

Fergus Leaden is an Irish resident with over 27 years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily fund administration. Fergus is responsible for Fund Accounting Operations and NAV oversight within Bridge Fund Management Limited. Fergus is also a member of the Pricing & Operations Committee within BFML Prior to joining Bridge in March of 2020, Fergus was a member of the executive team of Citco Fund Services (Ireland) where, as Operations Manager, he was responsible for running of the Hedge fund team and the setup and running of the Private Equity & Real Estate team in Dublin. Prior to Citco, Fergus worked for IFS (a State street Company) for 4 years where he managed teams responsible for the administration of a number of hedge fund clients.

Colin leads new business and client onboarding for the Irish based AIFM and UCITS management company. Colin joined Bridge Fund Management Limited (BFML) in 2016 and has been at the forefront of the establishment and development of the BFML management company since its approval in 2016. Colin McKeon has extensive experience in funds, treasury, banking, and prudential supervision spanning a career over 30 years in Ireland and overseas. Before joining Bridge in 2016 Colin worked for the European Central Bank (‘ECB’) in Frankfurt. In his role at the ECB Colin worked in micro-prudential supervision. Prior to his time in Frankfurt Colin was a Senior Vice President at Northern Trust Ireland and Head of the Institutional Investor Group. Over a period of just under 10 years at Northern Trust Colin was a Director of the Northern Trust management company acting as Chairman of the Investment, Risk and Compliance committee of the board. At Northern Trust, Colin was a member of the management team in Ireland along with being a member of the executive team for the institutional business in EMEA.

Brendan Shortt is an Irish resident with over 10 years’ experience working in the financial services industry. Brendan is the head of the team responsible for the daily oversight of the Investor Services and Transfer Agency functions of the funds under Bridge Fund Management Limited (‘BFML’). He also acts as a Designated Person (PCF-39E) for a number of self-managed UCIT Funds. Brendan is a member of the Pricing and Operations committee that are responsible for overseeing the due diligence on the appointed delegates. Prior to joining Bridge in October 2020 Brendan worked in JP Morgan, where he managed an investor relations team responsible for Irish, European, Cayman & US domiciled Hedge Fund/Private Equity clients. Prior to this, Brendan worked in Morgan Stanley Fund Services supporting Asian and US hedge fund clients.
